How are wines selected each month? Can I choose them?

Chris selects the wines each month. They’re always a reflection of things he’s passionate about, wine he’s pouring for his own inner circle of friends and family, and bottles he thinks you might not pick up on your own but wants you to experience. Some of his choices transcend seasons, but don’t worry he’ll make sure you’re drinking the right thing throughout the year.

So no you can’t choose, but if you have wine questions, dreams or desires, our door and inbox are always open.

I just signed up. When can I expect my first shipment?

Welcome! Your first monthly shipment will arrive 7-10 days after you sign up. We need a couple business days to get your wine all packed up and ready to be handed off to FedEx, where shipping may take several days to a week depending on your location.

Once your wine has shipped, you will receive tracking information via email.

For in-store pickups in Brooklyn, new subscriptions will typically be ready for pickup within two business days. You'll also receive an email from us when your wine is ready to be picked up!

What if there’s a problem with one of the wines?

For better or worse wine requires a little TLC to make sure it’s tasting right when you pull the cork. It’s best stored in a cool dark place, preferably on its side. What if I don’t like the taste of one of the wines. Can I get a refund?

We’re excited to share new wines with you and we certainly hope you enjoy them all. But we also strongly believe that tasting a full spectrum of styles and profiles is an important part of learning what you love (so you can drink well always, anywhere, forever - that’s the goal).

So strictly speaking, we don’t issue refunds for bottles you aren’t digging. But if there’s something you really don’t love we want to know so please reach out to us at

What is your return and refund policy?

New York State law only permits us to accept the return of goods that are defective. For such returns we can offer a replacement of the same item, refund a credit card, or we can issue a store credit. Do you ship everywhere?

As a Leon Circle member you are a customer of Leon & Son Wine and Spirits. Customers contract with the shipping carrier, and Leon & Son will engage on behalf of the customer. In the case of shipments outside New York State, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. If we are unable to ship to your area, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and suggest that shipping be arranged to a direct-shipping friendly state. All packages must be signed for by and adult aged 21+. The buyer hereby agrees to take sole responsibility for complying with all laws regarding importation of alcohol into your state. Title to, and ownership of, all alcoholic beverages passes from Leon & Son Wine to buyer in the State of New York, which is why we charge New York sales tax on your order.

What if I need to pick up prior months of Leon Circle?

We got you! We just ask that you reach out to in advance. Due to storage capacity at Fulton St, we transfer the prior month’s wines back to our warehouse with each release – which means a little extra planning ahead for picking those up. We’ll get your wine compiled and confirm via email as soon as it’s ready for pickup!

Note, if you have an outstanding pickup-or-delivery greater than 3 months old, we are not be able to guarantee the exact wines from that month's club are available. If this is the case, we will provide a substitute bottle as a replacement.

Can I give a Leon Circle membership as a gift?

Absolutely! What a great gift idea. You can gift a Leon Circle membership as a gift here.

I live in Brooklyn, NY - can I get Leon Circle delivered?

Starting June 2023, we now offer delivery for $10/month to our Brooklyn delivery zone!

We can alternatively include your Leon Circle wines with other Leon & Son delivery orders. Just leave a note on any delivery-eligible Leon & Son order asking us to include that month's club.

What if I’m not home to accept a shipment?

Again with the laws. All deliveries containing alcohol require an adult signature (21+) upon receipt. You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase and receive wine. If you’re not home then someone will need to be there to sign for it because your delivery person can’t leave it.

Do you ship in the summer months?

During the hottest months of the year shipping gets a little more complicated. Wines that are shipped in extreme temperatures can be easily damaged. So for July and August we monitor the weather nationally to make sure that your wine doesn't get cooked and damaged in transit. We won't be shipping everything automatically, only where we can guarantee the wine will arrive safely, or where we have access to refrigerated shipping. If this is not possible in your area, we will happily hold the wines until the weather cools! Feel free to give us a shout at if you would like to chance it and have them shipped anyway, but please know that we will be unable to replace wines that are negatively affected.

Can I change my credit card info?

You can change it anytime by logging into your Leon Circle profile and changing the billing info.

How do I pause or cancel my subscription?

You change your subscription status anytime on your Leon Circle profile. Or email us at and we’ll get you taken care of.
